Of all the Wari pile hats I've had over the years this simple stepped diamond designed example remains among my personal favorites. This textile is all about the color and the fiber. The dying in this hat is refined and highly sophisticated. Delicate greens, warm ivory, soft aubergine, brilliant red, pale clear yellow and beautiful blues all uniquely harmonize. The soft luster and sheen of the amazingly fine alpaca yarns and the delicate nature of its subtle but luminous colors allow this piece to stand out among Wari four-cornered hats. As a class, Wari hats are enormously attractive and desirable with a widely varied design vocabulary. When they have condition like this one - they are rare. This is a great Wari hat. At this time i have several other great pieces available. Please ask.
