#6144 Antique Art Deco Chinese
This circa 1930 vintage Art Deco Chinese Oriental carpet measures 8’9” x 11’8”. It has a field design of four flowering vines coming up from each end till they almost meet in the center of the purple field. The border is very interesting. One major border is in a darker purple than the field and is filled with saturated multicolored blossoms in reds and blues. This is surrounded by two minor borders in light tan in a foliated design. There is very fine wool in this rug, almost the quality of Manchester wool. The only low spot in the pile is in the border and has been photographed. Otherwise the rug is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping and insurance.
