Tekke Turkoman Wedding Dowry Rug, nice condition, it measures approximately 3.6 x 4 feet. This piece is so very finely woven with soft wool that it handles like velvet. It has wool warp and weft. There is a very tiny reweave so small and pretty well done that you can't hardly find it. The picture does not do it justice, it is very hard to capture the beauty of this piece. It has a soft, but deep, purplish mahogany type red ground( almost like you see in antique chodor bags) that is evenly distributed all over except with the slight abrash across the middle area.
