Anatolian kilim with three large central medallions, 5 x 14 feet, circa 1800. condition: substantial reweaving of black in borders, some reweaving in the field as well. The composition of the elements on the center white ground is the most simple and monumental of any example of this design type known to me. The floral vine meander-like side borders are unusual for this group and visually more successful than the typical motifs in boxes that are standard for the group.
