Size: 17ft 1in x 12ft 0in (520 x 366cm).
Circa 1870/80.
The carpet has a beautiful range of soft pastel colours on a light indigo blue ground. The design is of the highest order that would have been specified for the grand country houses of the Victorian arts and crafts and aesthetic movement. The design has an organic naturalistic quality, with large flowers and leaves entwined with branches. The whole carpet has a feeling of movement and is surrounded by a stunning wide border.
This is superb decorative carpet that will look at home with the finest furnishings.
The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear with medium pile.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use.
