#7140 Antique Ningxia Rug
This Ningxia measures 2’4” x 4’0”. It has a center medallion in pale red with corners worked in two colors of red with floral motifs on a pale mustard ground with a very tiny repeated motif in red and brown. The minor border is a pearl motif on a blue ground. The major border is a 3d Chinese fretwork in red, blue, yellow and ivory on a red ground all encompassed with a medium blue outer border,. The rug shows wear as photographed. The pile is generally full except as shown. This is a very calm and interesting little early piece. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance.
