Kohistani saddle bag from Badghis area of Afghanistan. Late 19th Century. This has a beautiful striped back in natural colors. Colors are all good. Some of these bags started to come out during periods of hardship such as the drought at the end of the 1970s and in more recent times. 68 x 148 cm.
