Turkmen Kizil Ayak Main Carpet. Sides ends original. Minor wear and staining in places - see pictures. Mid 19th Century. Size: 350 x 227 cm the carpet is in good condition for age, except for one or two minor defects: Picture 2: damage to pile in localised area. Picture 3: (same damage as shown in picture 2)damage to pile in localised area, reverse. Picture 4: a couple of localised stains, possibly removable. Picture 5: minor damage to flat woven elem skirt. Picture 6: minor damage to flat woven elem skirt. Picture 7: minor localised moth damage. Picture 8: a couple of tiny spots of paint on elem flat-woven skirt, possibly removable. There is also one or two very small areas of moth damage to pile, not structure. The carpet could do with a shampoo and rinse, it is not fragile and does not have active or severe moth problem. No smells or excessive dirt. No apparent restoration or repair. Colours are good and all natural. Please contact me for more pictures and price.
