#7524 Antique Kermanshah Persian Rug This circa 1880 antique Kermanshah Persian Oriental measures 9’6” x 13’9” (292 x 423 cm). It has a large pulled center medallion in ivory, rose, and indigo blue on a very pale ground. It has a floral motif of intertwining vines and flowers in several shades of red, rose, green and brown. It has nicely worked corners of flower heads in ivory with large pale green fleur de lis. The major border carries on the field motif with the same colors and design. It is encompassed with two reciprocal borders in vine and flower motif on an indigo blue ground. The rug is evenly low all over. It comes across as exceedingly beautiful and sophisticated.
