Antique South West Persian Qashqai rug, with triple latch hook medallion design, outstanding drawing and colour. The medallion is surrounded by a field filled with floral rosettes and tribal design elements. Note the beautifully drawn main border, which is identical to the one found on the famous 'Sigmund Freud' couch rug . www.knightsantiques.co.uk Size: 7ft 0in x 5ft 0in (213 x 155cm).
Circa 1880 or earlier.
The rug is very fine with very detailed drawing, the colours are of the highest possible quality.
The rug is in good condition with medium pile and even wear.
