a good Antique Tribal Qashqai rug, triple linked medallion design with superb colour. www.knightsantiques.co.uk Size: 6ft 9in x 4ft 4in (206 x 133cm).
Late 19th century.
A very pleasing rug with three linked medallions each containing the Qashqai emblem, the field is filled with large birds, a few animals and many flowers and small boteh. The triple borders are of a classic Qashqai floral design. The rug retains its original checkerboard finishes at both ends.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile, the rug is of fine weave with very soft wool, the rug has a nice floppy handle in the hand.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
