Circa 1900.
a very attractive rug by the Kashkuli sub tribe of the Qashqai. The rug has a dark indigo field with a small central medallion containing the Qashqai emblem. The field is covered in a floral spray design with the corners in a madder red. a feature of the rug is the classic Kashkuli bird and flower border. This is a very good decorative Kashkuli rug.
The rug has even wear with good pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
A superb collectible display item.
