#7610 Antique Peking Chinese Rug
This last quarter 19th century Peking Chinese rug measures 8’10” x 11’6“ (272 x 353 cm). The rug is a deep blue without being navy. It is very, very rich looking. The motif consists of four butterflies, one in each border. The field has seven single flowers in several shades of brown, mostly café au lait and tobacco. The corners consist of a floral motif in mostly the same colors. There are five low spots in the rug that are marked in the image with those shiny little white spots which happen to be quarters. These are visible when one looks into the nap. When one looks over the nap they disappear. The wool is that very, very yummy velvety wool. The rug is absolutely gorgeous. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance
