Back
a rare antique Uzbek Lakai Tribe silk embroidered Ilgich / Ayna Khalta hanging dating to the last quarter of 19th century. This beautiful example has a great design with four boat motifs of possibly insects arranged around an archaic central motif with rams horn, moth and evil eye motifs. The colours are magnificent. The fine silk embroidery reflects the skills of the master who stitched it. There are some stains that can be cleaned and a part of the central design repaired with a patch. The overtly low price reflects this. Other than that it is a great example of the type. Size: 54cm x 54cm (21” x 21”) with polychrome tassels an extra 5cm (2”).
