This circa 1930 Peking Chinese rug #7850 measures 9’0” x 11’5”. It has a deep chocolate brown field with five multi-colored flower sprays in the field, one of which is a beautiful flower bouquet in an urn. The flower colors are two shades of blue, rose, tobacco, ivory and grey. The minor border is a deep peach. The major border is midnight blue. Two opposite corners are done with the same design with a small pagoda on an outcropping of rocks surrounded by a floral spray. The other two opposite corners have an outcropping of rocks with a massive display of flowers. In the middle of the horizontal border on either side is a well-drawn butterfly. In the middle of the vertical border is a nice display of flowers. The entire rug is surrounded with a solid border in the same color as the field and the same width as the interior border. This rug is 99% full pile and in mint condition. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go.
