In this red-ground Late 18th Century West Anatolian Bergama, a powerful dark blue shield form encloses a large red stepped motif of almost the same size as well as a smaller, green diamond-shaped central medallion.In the Bergama region, antique design concepts were retained over a very long period of time, but were of course adapted and modified to suit the prevailing taste of the period, allowing them to be dated on the basis of stylistic aspects.The white border shows cruciform leaves.Size 160 x 185 cm
