This antique Shirvan #7853 dated 1913 in five places measures 4’0” x 5’9”. The field of the rug is divided into thirds. The top and bottom third have a red ground. The middle third has a blue ground. The rug has four medallions in the field which is covered in quadrupeds, rectangles, stars and Lazy S’s. The major border is a modified serrated leaf design in green, brown, ivory, tobacco and blue. The outer and inner minor borders are reciprocal. The rug has good pile. The ends and sides are complete. This rug has a sleeve sewn on the back of one end for hanging. It is clean and ready to go.
