19th c. Japanese Embroidery Brown silk background with chrysanthemums, plum branch and blossoms, bamboo, and birds hand embroidery. Colors of: grey, peach shades, white, violet, indigo blue, orange, brown, tan, eggplant, light tan, and rust. Four large birds and three small ones in field. Bottom and top has a 5” border of vine, leaf, and floral. Sides of 3 ½” border of same. Size: 43” wide x 64” long, made of up of two panels 21 ½” lengthwise. Good condition, except one 7” silk separation on one panel near center towards center seam.
