Antique Yomud Oriental Rug #7844
This late third quarter 19th century Yomud measures 6’6” x 9’6”. It has a deep red field covered in Kepse guls in ivory, blue, apricot and lots of green. The ivory major border has meandering vine motif. The edges are finished off in peach and blue check. The selvedges are a flat weave in red ending in four to five rows in ivory and a semi Soumak finish. The elams are very interesting. The elam at the bottom has the trellis design and the elam at the top is a variation of a Yomud gul. The rug has even pile. It is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $95.00
