#7559 Marasali Shirvan Antique Caucasian Rug
This dated 1856 (1273 ah) Marasali Shirvan antique Oriental Rug measures 3’7” x 4’4” (112 x 134 cm). It has a lattice design on an ivory ground. Each lattice opening contains a flower. Most are different. The spandrels contain pieces of lattice work which are very asymmetrically decorated. It has a fairly standard Marasali s border on a red ground with blue, tobacco and ivory. There are two reciprocal borders on a blue ground which contains modified crosses. The edges have been repaired. The ends are complete. The pile is excellent. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping with insurance of $50.
