Cotton ground with silk and cotton embroidery with mirrors. a row of motifs in the image of temples or stupas lines the bottom of the textile. The mirrored motifs with embroidery above these recall fireworks and the triangles resemble flags or banners with stars in the sky above. To me the imagery here is of a celebratory night festival and resonates with joy and hope. 45 x 121 cm.
