Nari Kunj Patola Saree, Silk Double Ikat, Probably Patan Gujarat. India.This Patola uses one of the rarest designs, known as Nari Kunj Patola. This Patola is showing Nari Kunjar Bhat, Popat Kunjar Bhat, Hathi Kunjar Bhat, Ful Kunjar Bhat. Nari means dancing girl, Popat means parrot, Hathi Means Elephant and Ful Flower-blossom. This term referred to Patolas with all the four of the motifs used in the main field. This were traditionally used mainly by Brahmin and Jain Communities in Gujarat. Circa 1900.It’s Size is 136cmX365cm (dsc06766).
