Antique Jain Sandstone Stele with a Jina
a rare Jain Indian sandstone Stele with a carved image of Buddha surrounded by his attendants from the Gujarat or Rajasthan regions. Seated figures of Jain teachers are always sculpted with hands folded in meditation. This Buddha has an auspicious diamond-shaped mark on his chests. The Buddha is seated on a lotus with a halo above his head. Underneath the Buddha are two mythological lions.
