Antique Persian Kork Kashan rug of traditional large medallion design. www.knightsantiques.co.uk
Circa 1900.
This is a very finely woven rug from the workshops of Kashan, the rug is made using 'Kork' wool, this is the finest lambs wool. The rug has a classic Kashan single medallion design, woven in a range of outstanding colours. The sides of the rug are bound in crimson/purple silk.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear in places and medium pile. Hand washed and ready for use or display.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
A beautiful antique rug that would grace any room and sit alongside the finest antique furniture.
Size: 6ft 11in x 4ft 3in (212 x 130cm).
