a museum grade gold and silver with carnelian inset antique Turkoman / Turkmen Jewellery attributed to the Tekke Turkoman / Turkmen tribe. Dating to the 19th century, this rare head band (attached on hats) known as Ildirgitchs. It is one of the coveted example of a main dowry jewellery of a Turkoman bride. The quality of the gilded silver work, the meticulously cut outs and the intricate motifs (especially the pin wheel) is just magnificent. a true master silversmith made these rare piece. Often examples we see in the market tend to have newer elements installed in them but to find a complete original piece like this is relatively rare. Not only were they status artefacts, they were also bridal jewellery . It is just brilliant and archaic work of art. Better than many published museum examples, and unlike all those later replicas, this masterpiece is worthy of any top collection. High grade silver and in mint condition. Fair price. Email me your questions. Size 36cm x 23cm (14" x 9")
