Antique Kurdish rug from the Greater Hamadan region, Mehraban district or from Borodjert village. www.knightsantiques.co.uk
Circa 1900.
The design is most unusual, with large floral rosettes in soft pastel colours floating on a midnight indigo blue field. The light indigo blue border sets the rug off very well.
The colours throughout the rug are most striking, they are all natural dyes in a superb range of colours.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and almost full pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
Size: 6ft 3in x 3ft 11in (190 x 119cm).
Stock Number: r-1907.
