a fine antique Indian silk embroidered hanging from Gujarat (turned into a functional pillow). It dates around 1900 and is a really fine work of textile art. The red field is made beautiful tulips arranged within a lattice and repeating in two colour combination (blue and white and pink and white). The lattice is accentuated with yellow lines. The bordered are fully embroidered with floss silk in geometric diamond motifs in a rainbow of colours. The colours are great.
