The rug is of fine weave and an excellent example of type, the border design is unusual for this design of rug, the simple red ground with pomegranate flowers is usually associated with the earliest examples. Note all the small birds in the field design surrounding the vases of flowers.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display, the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug is of a larger size than is normally found.
