Circa 1800s or little earlier Central Anatolian Karapinar Saph Kilim It has very nice deep colors Of the three saf klims offered here, this splendidly coloured fragment, attributable to Karapinar, shows the greatest degree of abstraction. For this reason it seems decidedly more “modern” than the other two pieces. Its drawing is purely abstract, and its colours play the central role in producing the overall effect.
