Back
Huge Bahktiari double bag -- c. 1900 if not older. Each bag measures around 26 x 40 inches. Piled panels on the bottom and elaborate back kelims with so called "flag" inset. Opie books show similar examples-- but are not double bags as this one is. Various restorations mostly around the mouth of each one. Pile areas have numerous holes. The front panels on each are relatively nice condition. The photos tell the story. Large and heavy. $25 usa shipping.
One of several pieces recently acquired, an old cache from a St Louis collection mostly purchased 40+ years ago.
Call Rob for in-hand condition report.
