Second half of 19th Century Tekke Ensi.Of comparatively coarse weave, with a light palette and large, well-drawn designs, this door hanging by the Tekke tribe is an early example of its type, and was previously published in Turkoman Studies in 1980.The offset trees in the two elem panels are a rare feature. The same tree designs have been used in the wide surround of the hatchlu field; the lines of abstract insi kush birds seen in the latter are less closely spaced than in later ensis of the same field design.It has very nice rare border that is really archaic.Collectible piece.Size 120 x 140 cm
