Tekke Turkmen Wedding Rug, Late 19th/early 20th century. These small format rugs were generally woven as a part of the dowry and were used for the bride and the groom to stand on during the wedding ceremony. The pile is on the lower side but still there and well above the knots. 130 x 185 cm
