Antique Mahajaran Sarouk 4’4” x 6’6” #7941
This circa 1900 Mahajaran Sarouk measures 4’4” x 6’6”. These Mahajaran Sarouks were the finest Sarouks of their era made between 1890-1910. They were the most expensive rugs of their type from those years. The rug is very complicated. The background color is a ruby wine red with two or three shades of blue, two shades of green, tobacco, gold and brown. The border is midnight blue with an interlaced motif of blossoms and meandering vine. The reciprocal borders have tiny flowers on a green ground. This rug is in excellent mint condition. It is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go.
