Antique complete northwest Persian bag with some unusual design features and great color. Unfortunately in rough condition. The uncommon field of “memling” or turreted guls and extra wide ivory border with linked cartouches is quite eye catching. Pile varies from good decent to bare foundation. All excellent natural colors. Curiously the field design is offset knotted and the bag is cotton warped and the original back looks to be real camel wool. Reasonably clean. 19th c. 22” x 26”
