#7198 Kazak Antique Caucasian Rug
This third-quarter 19th-century Kazak measures 4’2” x 8’5” (128 x 259cm). It has four memling gul medallions, one on a blue ground, one on an aubergine ground, one on a yellow ground, and the last one on an aubergine ground all on a heavily saturated green field containing a nicely asymmetric motif. All is encompassed with an ivory border containing a complicated variation of the hooked motif. This rug is very balanced and pleasing to the eye. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is clean and ready to go. The buyer pays the shipping including insurance.
