Circa 1880. a very good example of type with very nicely drawn lattice design, the lattice is in soft yellow on a dark charcoal ground. Within the lattice are small shrubs and other devices, of particular note are the four large and one small human figures. The rug has a classic border design which frames the rug well. The rug has slight even wear and good pile, the charcoal ground is corroded giving the rug a sculpted look. The rug has excellent wool and is very soft to the touch. Hand washed and ready for use or display, the rug is suitable for light domestic use. Stock Number: h-311.
