Antique South Caucasian runner with a repeat medallion design.
Circa 1890.
This outstanding runner has four linked medallions on a dark indigo blue field, the medallions are surrounded by a very well drawn palmette design. The floral border frames the runner well and contrasts with the indigo blue giving the runner a light feel.
The runner is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile, there is slight corrosion to some of the dyes.
The runner is suitable for normal domestic use.
The runner has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
