Circa 1890. Size: 10ft 0in x 3ft 7in (305 x 109cm).
A good Gendje runner with seven medallions on a dark indigo blue ground, the medallions are of alternating designs. The field is filled with ornamental detail including two amusing human figures, along with combs and possibly donkeys or camels. The striking ivory ground border contrasts well with the dark field giving the runner a lighter feel.
The runner is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. There is very slight corrosion to the blacks.
The runner is suitable for normal domestic use.
The runner has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
