Antique unusual turkman rug fragment, perhaps chodor, with a tight lattice of ashik guls arranged in diagonal color rows on a dark brown ground. Persian knotted open to the right. Appears to be all wool. As found, very dirty with heavy wear and damage as shown. Remnant original goat hair selvages. Thin with cloth like handle. Although very dirty colors appear to be all natural. No color run or fading. Interesting study piece priced accordingly. Good age. 19th c. 3’5” x 3’5”
