Antique Baluch rug with an interesting and probably unique design. The weaver went beyond free drawing to uber free drawing with three pieces completely different field designs on one rug. One could call it a Baluch sampler but is there such a thing? Overall even very low pile with areas of wear as shown. Remnant original kelim ends and rewrapped selvages. As found, could use a good wash. Limited palette but looks like natural colors. Not something you are likely to see again. 19th c. 3’8” x 5’5”
