Afshar Persian knotted circa in 1905 antique, collector's item, 260 x 212 (cm) 8' 6" x 6' 11" carpet id: P-5303
The black color is oxidized, the edges are finished with tiny kelim, the selvages are rolled on one line with two different color wool, rare size. The knots,the warp and the weft threads are hand spun lamb wool. In good condition, minor oxidized places to be knotted, elegant, soft, high standard quality and in its original shape.
a similar example was published in the catalog of "Das golden Buch des Orientteppichs" by s.m. Milhofer on page 180, ill. 82.
