Antique large Caucasian rug with some unusual features. Although presumably Kazak, possibly Armenian, with Lori Pombak medallions. The rug has unusually open drawing and is fitted with a very delicate floral border. But to me, the presence of a tiny Lori Pombak medallion between the two large ones is quite wonderful. a baby and it’s parents! All natural colors. Overall very low pile with scattered wear as shown. There appears to be old faded repiling along the center line. The rug can be used as is and is flat on the floor or restored to some degree. Reasonably clean. ca. 1880 - 1900 weaving. 5’4” x 7’10”
