Published rug in the 1974 "Art Islamique" of Sursock Museum Beirut, as Luri. Previously in the Mussa de Freige collection. Size is 130 x 219 cm. Its single weft structure, brown wool foundation, border design and accurate "herati" pattern makes it belong to the Zenjān area (n.w. Persia) and to the second half of the 19th century. 1 small reweave and a couple of minute repairs. Finely re selvaged.It was hanging on a wall for many decades. Pile is medium height.Colours are attractive.
