Elazig area Shavak Kurdish Kushak or belt, Late 19th century. Very finely spun wool in good colors. Woven in a long band and coiled and stitched together to form a tube. The lines of chemically dyed wool stitched on the one end were added later and not original to the piece and can be removed. a wonderful ethnographic piece. Some slight sun fading is apparent in a small area on one of the ends. 24 x 280 cm
