Antique small Baluch rug with very good design, excellent color and overall fair condition for the age. The array of archaic radiating medallions in diagonal bands on a lightly oxidized brown ground is framed by a single narrow border. Overall mostly good medium/low pile. Some scattered wear, a small finger sized sewn up tear and few old moth nibbles as shown. Original goat hair selvages and end flat weave. All natural colors featuring an excellent ember red. As found, dirty and in need of a good wash. Quite an attractive Baluch rug. Good age, ca. 1880 or earlier. 2’7” x 5’
