Early Caucasian prayer rug. Kuba?Uncommon design featuring rare combination of lesghi stars, rounded “head” mihrab, large “snowflakes”, hands and nicely drawn “Kufic” border. Complete but overall thin with very low pile and heavy wear as shown. Sides show original weft returns, some reinforcing stitching and newer wrapping but not missing on sides. Unusual palette with all natural colors. As found, could use a good wash. Early example, mid 19th c. 3’7” x 4’7”
