Soumak Konakent Caucasian woven circa in 1905, antique, collector's item. 197 x 176 (cm) 6' 6" x 5' 9" carpet id: A-981
In perfect condition, the black color is oxidized, woven with hand spun wool and Soumak technique, the background color is rust with three medallions, the surrounded large border is black, both edges are finished with kilim, it is square and very rare size and soft.
a similar example was published in the catalog of "Das Grosse Orient-Teppich-Buch" by j.g. Lettenmair on page 439.
