Early bordjalou or “compartment” Kazak with good design and excellent old color but in very very rough condition. Pile varied from decent low to none at all with exposed foundation. Lovely ivory latch hook border with good early figure ground spacing. As found, reasonably clean and structurally sound. Few old crude seen in patches in the empty foundation areas. Think of it as a charming study fragment. Good age, ca. 1850 or earlier. 4’5” x 6’3”
