shahsavan, fragment of pile rug. 42 inches by 38 inches (107 cm x 97 cm). Good pile, especially toward the sides--- pile is shorter in the lower center where there are some holes. Several other scattered small (finger size) holes—can be seen in images. Border design utilizes a common Shahsavan design, but here it is naively drawn at large scale. Colors all good, natural. Some slightly-faded old repairs at upper right and left, undoubtedly done when this fragment was still part of a rug.
