Antique large afshar bagface with an uncommon and attractive design. Some interesting features including a lovely vine border more often found on rugs than bags and extremely complex and colorful original closure tabs. Very nice natural colors including a rich tomato red, medium blues, and eye catching true greens. Overall mostly good tight pile with scatter areas of significant moth grazing. Foundation appears undamaged. More than one palm sized areas well nibbled and priced accordingly. Good age. 19th c. 25” x 35”
